In May 2016 BY Creative decided to start holding monthly meet-up networking events. I was in charge of designing and creating a unique and eye-catching leaflet to print and distribute to surrounding Shoreditch businesses.
Deliverables
I sketched out and created a A2 leaflet in Photoshop which displayed information about our event and also our contact details. Once designed I then started thinking about how I could distribute these leaflets in a unique way which would get people interested.
I came up with the idea of folding the leaflets in half and then stamping them with a wax stamp. I bought a personalised stamp with the lettering 'BYC' (Short for BY Creative) to add a personal touch. I thought this idea would create a sense of mystery and entice audiences into opening the invitation and checking out the contents. I received a lot of positive feedback when handing out the invitations, many commenting on the fun and unique style of leaflet.
